The Pandas Syndrome è la prima opera cinematografica collegata alla sindrome Pans/Pandas, un incredibile caso di disinformazione medica che sta incidendo drammaticamente sulla vita di migliaia di bambini e adolescenti nel mondo. Il progetto, partito nel 2021, sta abbracciando internazionalmente sempre più realtà e individui, dopo il clamore suscitato dalla recente uscita del cortometraggio omonimo diretto dal talento visionario di Filippo Cavalca, su Amazon Prime USA & UK e Vimeo-on-demand.
Anche la critica sta riconoscendo l’impegno artistico e sociale rivolto al tema, il corto ha ricevuto la Menzione d’Onore al Sound & Vision Film Festival di New York lo scorso settembre e ed è entrato nella terzina di ‘Miglior Corto” al Fellini Film Festival 2023.
A due anni dall’inizio di questo progetto, da che molti non sapevano quasi dare un nome a quegli “strani” e improvvisi sintomi, dopo Papa Francesco I anche il Primo Ministro italiano ha portato attenzione mediatica su questo tema di vitale importanza per i ragazzi e le loro famiglie.
La sfida di Feel For Films tuttavia, non è conclusa.
(ENG) – The Pandas Syndrome is the first narrative movie about Pans/Pandas syndrome, an incredible case of misinformation that still affects the lives of thousands of children and teenagers around the world. Started in February 2021, the project embraces more and more realities and individuals all over the world, after the awareness campaign started by the release of the homonymous short movie directed by the visionary talented Filippo Cavalca, on Amazon Prime USA & UK and Vimeo-on-demand.
Critics do recognize the artistic and social value of the project; the short movie gained an Honorable Mention at the Sound & Vision Film Festival in New York in September 2022 and the ‘Best Short Film’ at the Fellini Film Festival in March 2023. Two years after the first steps, after many people could not understand those “unexpected” and “sudden” symptoms, Pope Francis I and the Italian Prime Minister brought media attention to this very important issue for children and their families.
However, kids affected by Pandas deserved even further attention and consideration and Feel For Films’ challenge is not yet accomplished.
